In addition to our spiffy Kick-Ass cover on the new issue of Empire, our set visit inside is accompanied by a plethora of new stills and shots from the film, because we're nice like that.
We've also given you both an action shot, showing Hit Girl (Chloe Moretz) confronting mobster Frank D'Amico (Mark Strong, the bad guy of choice these days), and a nice character scene, with Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson), Hit Girl and her adoring Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage).
Says Vaughn of the film, "The whole movie's about taking the things that we're familiar with and turning them on their head, without losing touch with what people like or love about superhero comic-book movies. There's nothing in this movie that couldn't, in theory, happen in real life. If you took an 11 year-old girl and trained the hell out of her every fucking day for six years, there's a chance she could do most of that stuff. It's not likely, but it's possible. Every costume was designed, I said, 'Make sure this could be made by some guy who's been buying stuff on the internet'."
