The first promo arrived back in April, but now we have a new, full theatrical trailer for Immortals, starring Superman-in-waiting Henry Cavill, Luke Evans, Freida Pinto and Mickey Rourke. It was launched on, of all places, the Ryan Seacrest show across the pond and you can take a look below.
Directed by **The Fall’**s Tarsem Singh, Immortals treads some very similar ground to the likes of 300 and Clash of the Titans (not difficult considering it tells a very similar story to the latter).
We’re introduced to a world where the Gods have won their battle with the Titans, but where a nasty new evil force in the shape of mad king Hyperion (Rourke) is threatening to unleash the ancient enemies once more. He’s gathered an army of bloodthirsty soldiers and is seeking the Epirus Bow, a powerful weapon that can help him conquer mankind and defeat the Gods.
But while the Gods, including Zeus (Evans) can’t intervene, they do influence a hero, Theseus (Cavill) to unite his people and stop the encroaching menace… Cue lots of SHOUTY BLOKES and POV shots of arrows etc.
Immortals is out on November 11.
