When four new, very different teaser posters for David Fincher’s **Gone Girl **adaptation showed up yesterday, they promised the trailer would arrive today. And so it has come to pass...

Fincher collaborated with author Gillian Flynn on this one, cooking up a film that promises to channel the compelling mystery of the book while also delivering a different ending to keep us all guessing.

The story’s central mystery revolves the seemingly blissful but privately curdled marriage of Nick (Ben Affleck) and Amy (Rosamund Pike) Dunne, crumbling under financial strain and strained by their move back to his old hometown. When Amy goes missing, Nick initially launches the campaign to find her, but the fickle finger of suspicion soon starts to point to him as the evidence – not the least of which are Amy’s diary entries – piles up and starts to suggest that he might have had something to do with it.

While he can be the charming, concerned husband, there are secrets and lies here to be uncovered... Boasting a cast that also includes Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, Scoot McNairy, Boyd Holbrook, Emily Ratajkowski, Sela Ward, Missi Pyle, Casey Wilson, Carrie Coon and Kathleen Rose Perkins, Gone Girl is out in the UK (and US) on October 3.
