A big part of any James Bond movie are the scrapes that 007 – played currently by Daniel Craig – gets into, and, more importantly for the future of the films, out of. Spectre promises to keep upping the ante and a new featurette on the action sequences is now online.

Special effects supervisor Chris Corbould, 2nd unit director Alexander Witt, and first assistant director Michael Lerman are among those who have worked to bring the movie’s big stunts to life. The film, meanwhile, finds Bond digging into his past and heading out on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome, where he meets Lucia Sciarra (Monica Bellucci), the beautiful and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal. Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organisation known as SPECTRE. All the while, MI6 itself is under threat from a new department that has decided that its relevant days might be behind it.

With a script by John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, Spectre sees Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris, as M, Q and Moneypenny respectively, with new recruits Christoph Waltz as Oberhauser, Dave Bautista as Mr. Hinx, Lea Seydoux as Madeleine Swann, Stephanie Sigman as Estrella and Andrew Scott as Max Denbigh.

Spectre will be with us on October 26. For lots more on the film, director Sam Mendes guest-edited the new **Empire and crammed it full of more content than Q-branch has gadgets. It’ll be in all good and some SMERSH-run shops on Thursday. Do try to bring it back in one piece. And for our online guide, step this way. Mind the trapdoor leading to the shark tank...
