Irvine Welsh hasn't done much in his career that you'd want to share with an average 12 year-old, so this green-band **Filth **trailer is something of a first. Frankly, we're impressed that they've managed to find two minutes from the film suitable for young minds. They haven't left much out.
Based on Welsh's 1998 novel, **Filth **is the story of bent Edinburgh copper Bruce Robertson (James McAvoy), a man prepared to stop at nothing to get his wicked way. Enlisted to solve a brutal murder and threatened by the aspirations of his colleagues, including Ray Lennox (Jamie Bell), Bruce sets about ensuring their ruin, right under the nose of unwitting Chief Inspector Toal (John Sessions).
As he turns his colleagues against one another by stealing their wives and exposing their secrets, Bruce starts to lose himself in a web of deceit that he can no longer control. His past is slowly catching up with him, as a missing wife, a crippling drug habit and suspicious colleagues start to take their toll on his sanity. The question is, can he keep his grip on reality long enough to disentangle himself from the filth?
If you're in less of a cor-dear-that's-a-bit-much mood or you're away from the office - 20 miles should do it - there's a red band version to enjoy here. And this one's pretty darn naughty too.brightcove.createExperiences();
