Two weeks. There are now just two weeks to wait until The Dark Knight Rises explodes on to our screens. Including the BFI IMAX, where it will be showing in all its giant glory. To remind us all of that fact, there’s a new IMAX poster online, one that you can see below.
It’s a rather lovely, if apocalyptic, image, which blends Christian Bale’s Batman in full posing power as a shaft of light breaks through the clouds in the shape of his famous logo.
But he’s standing on a tower in front of a ruined, burning Gotham, which goes a long way to suggest some of the madness that Tom Hardy’s Bane will be bringing to the place.
In a move that seems a little pre-emptive to us, the film’s official site has also launched an extensive set of production notes. We’d caution everyone to perhaps skip downloading it until you’ve seen the film, the better to maintain the secrecy of what Chris Nolan and co have been planning for us all.
After all, it’s only two weeks now. July 20. You can wait, right? To help with the cravings, we proudly present our feature-laden countdown to the movie's release.
