Man, we want to see No Country For Old Men so badly. Some of our colleagues were lucky enough to see it in Cannes – and flipped for it – and the new trailer online here just make us want to see it all the more.

For their latest, a triumphant return to form by all all accounts, the Coen brothers go very light on kook and very heavy on kill. Even from this brief clip the tension is palpable.

No Country centres on a bag of heroin and cash. A hunter (Josh Brolin) finds it by chance and takes it; a cop (Tommy Lee Jones) tries to recover it; as does a cold-eyed killer (Javier Bardem) who flips coins to decide whether he'll spare lives. Lots of blood ensues. If Bardem's performance is half as good as it appears in the trailer, we're in for a big treat. For an interview with Bardem about the film, pick up the latest copy of Empire. Synergy, nice.
