New Clip From Source Code

As you may know, Duncan Jones' exceptional debut feature Moon - not to mention *that *Bafta speech - made him something of a hero in these parts. There are high hopes, then, that Source Code, a sci-fi follow-up more in the Tony than Ridley Scott mould, will see him hit it out of the park again.

The stakes are higher this time, with bigger budgets, more star talent and a ginormously explosive, terrorist-harbouring train that'd make even Scott Jr green with envy. The concept is higher too. It's all neatly set out in this new clip, which shows decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) discovering why he's aboard a commuter train that's heading for downtown Chicago and is ripe to blow the whole place to smithereens.

As the clip and the movie's one-sheet suggest, what happens next involves time travel and running. A lot of running. Michelle Monaghan finds herself embroiled in a scenario that, until someone remakes Groundhog Day with Hans Gruber as the groundhog, genuinely has no cinematic precedent. Vera Farmiga and Jeffrey Wright are also on hand to oversee things from a safe distance.

Source Code is out on April 1. Can it match Moon? Leave your thoughts below.
