Leaving aside the more-than-overused meme of Keep Calm And Carry On, this new motion poster for horror remake Carrie boasts a decent twist on the studios’ current favourite marketing idea (well, aside from Vine).
Actually, this poster shares a close resemblance to Vine’s blip-vids: a collection of short chunks from the trailer footage (you can watch once of the trailers at the foot of the page), showing leading lady Chloe Grace Moretz’ particularly bad night at the prom.
Carrie, of course, focuses on Moretz as Carrie White, a lonely high schooler who really just wants to fit in. But she’s bullied by the popular clique, jeered by others and, to make matters worse, also has to deal with her obsessive, fundamentalist Christian mother (Julianne Moore).
Oh, and there’s there small matter of the burgeoning telekinetic powers she's developing. When the big prank at the prom finally makes her crack, bad things happen…
This new take on Stephen King’s story has Kimberly Pierce directing and Ansel Elgort, Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Gabriella Wilde and Alex Russell among the cast. It’ll scream on to our screens on November 29.
