This new international trailer for Black Swan gives you probably the best indication yet of the film you're going to see. It's gorgeous looking, often handheld, full of women under high levels of emotional and physical stress, and features a bit of ballet. Brace yourself, because Darren Aronofsky is preparing to mess with your head.
The story follows Natalie Portman's Nina, a thoroughly messed-up young ballet dancer on the brink of stardom when she's offered the prima role of the Swan Queen in Swan Lake. Only problem: the double role of Odette/Odile will require her to get in touch with her dark side, which she's having trouble handling. The arrival of new dancer Lily (Mila Kunis), the influence of her mother (Barbara Hershey) and the manipulations of Head of the Company Thomas (Vincent Cassel) mean she's soon a dancer on the edge.
Black Swan is out in the UK on January 21.
