New Anchorman 2 Video Strikes

As Anchorman: The Legend Continues thunders towards our cinemas like a herd of magnificent wildebeest across a vast plain, we’ve become increasingly used to seeing Will Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy pop up for quick videos on a variety of subjects. He’s back with a new one, this time aimed at encouraging moviegoers to fight piracy by checking out official film sources.

Actually, given that it’s Ron, he completely misunderstands what he’s supposed to be briefing us all about, and seems to believe he’s been contracted to help provide advice as to how to get the proper serving of, um, gentleman’s relish… Hint: avoid smelly pirate hookers, apparently.

In reality, and as he’s somewhat disgusted to find out (since television pays his bills), it’s actually designed to promote the Moments Worth Paying For campaign, and links to the Find Any Film site, where you can track down screenings and legal ways to acquire cine-bliss.

In the new Anchorman outing, Ron and his loyal news team confront the Earth-shattering changes underway in their industry, and head to New York for the potential opportunity of a lifetime. Assuming they don’t screw it all up… With Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner and Christina Applegate back, the newcomers this time include Harrison Ford, Kristen Wiig, Meagan Good and James Marsden. It’ll be out on December 20.
