The original 2004** Anchorman** is technically Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy, much in the same way that its sequel,** Anchorman 2**, is actually called Anchorman: The Legend Continues. But really, that's not important. What's important is that there's a new trailer in town, and it involves green screen gags, comedy condoms and Winnebagoes flipping over and over and over.
If we ignore the original teaser trailer of the awesome foursome walking towards us in front of a series of flashing lights, this is the second full trailer for Anchorman: The Legend Continues, and it's even funnier than the first (which you can check out here).
Whether or not anything from this promo will actually end up in the film - though that caravan gag better, quite frankly - remains to be seen. Thanks to director Adam McKay's improvisational take on the whole comedy film thing, writing certain sections of the script with Will Ferrell but always leaving room for the performers to riff their hearts out on set, the film is always a little in flux. Remember: these are the guys who made a spare movie, Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie, from offcuts from the first film.
It's reassuring to see certain gags from the original, like Brian Fantana's secret in-wall stash of something-something, are coming back (but in new ways), along with entirely new conceits, like Brick's goofball green screenery.{Anchorman: The Legend Continues Poster}
Anchorman: The Legend Continues will hit UK cinemas on December 20, and if the rumourmongers are to be believed, it's also going to be stuffed with cameos you won't want to miss.
P.S. As well as the international version above, it looks like there's another trailer with even more footage available. Check it out below...
