We’re often besieged by character posters for films these days, which is usually just a set of images featuring various people (or creatures) with different coloured backgrounds. But the team behind The Age Of Adaline has come up with a novel take on the idea.
Smartly taking the idea of a character that doesn’t age through decades, the posters follow Blake Lively’s Adaline across the years, showcasing her different looks.
As for the film, the plot finds 29-year-old living a solitary existence, never allowing herself to get close to anyone who might reveal her secret, and to spare her the pain of watching loved ones wither and die under time’s cruel finger.
But a chance encounter with charismatic philanthropist Ellis Jones (Michiel Huisman) reignites her passion for life and romance. At least, that is, until a weekend with his parents (Harrison Ford and Kathy Baker) threatens to uncover the truth, and she has to make a decision that will change her life forever.
The Age Of Adaline arrives in US cinemas on April 24 and here in the UK on May 8.
