There are already two or three trailers for** 22 Jump Street**, in both red- and green-band flavours. So it’s a credit to the film that there are still funny moments to be found for new promos, and we’re hoping there are yet more in the finished product.
This new outing finds Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) headed to college, ready to apply what they’ve learned so far as undercover cops when they try to break another drugs ring. Of course, it’ll mean fully immersing themselves in college life, with all the parties, sports and girls that implies. And, because these two became so close in the last film, tension flares up, which results in them hitting counselling together to save their working partnership.
In this new trailer, we’re shown longer looks at jokes we’ve enjoyed previously, including the boys trying out new undercover personas with a Mexican drug gang and Schmidt finding a new girlfriend, which could lead to more trouble than he expects…
With Phil Lord and Chris Miller back running the stupidity and a cast that includes Street veterans Dave Franco, Nick Offerman and Rob Riggle, 22 Jump Street hits our screens on June 6 before heading to the US for a June 13 release.
