The cast of Eagle Eye, a thriller about a single mother and a young slacker who both find themselves framed as terrorists and forced to join a cell planning political assassination, is, like, so hot right now. And it just got a little hotter...right now. To a line up that already features Shia LaBeouf (as the slacker) and Rosario Dawson (as some insanely hot unspecified character) we can now add Michelle Monaghan (as the single mother).
The film is to be directed by D.J. Caruso, who made the efficient Rear Window homage Disturbia, which also starred LaBeouf. Hilary Seitz wrote the most recent draft of the script.
Signing on for Eagle Eye has meant that Dawson has had to turn down a role in Kevin Smith's Zack and Miri Make A Porno, a comedy that Smith wrote specifically for her. The film, which will likely still get made, concerns two school friends who have reached their 30s without any real accomplishment, but, following a school reunion and restricted cash-flow, decide to make a porn movie. Which, in short, means that we now no longer have any chance of seeing Dawson in porn. That's pretty selfish, Rosario, I hope you know? Think of other people sometimes.
