Marc Forster To Direct Die Bad

Sounds like a Bond sequel; isn't

Marc Forster hasn't wasted any time in capitalising on the heat surrounding his record-smashing Bond sequel, Quantum Of Solace.

But neither has he stuck to the promise the Swedish director made to Empire at the Quantum Of Solace premiere, when he told us that his next film would be smaller and less explodey.

For the Swedish director has signed on to direct another action flick, Die Bad. And, while that may sound like he's signed on to direct another Bond flick, it's actually a remake of a 2000 Korean movie that merges interlocking tales about gangsters.

For Forster's version, the action will be transplanted to the US. Brad Ingelsby will write the script, although no production date has yet been set for the Universal movie. That may indicate that Forster will squeeze in a film closer to his previous output (Finding Neverland, Monster's Ball) before he starts blowing shit up again.
