Made In Dagenham – the latest film from that videblogisode institution, producer Stephen Woolley – is due for release on October 1. But to whet your appetite, we’ve got an exclusive look at the movie’s new poster.
The film, based on a true story, is a breezy comedy starring Sally Hawkins as a factory worker in 1960s Dagenham who becomes the figurehead of an uprising over equal pay for women.
Directed by Nigel Cole, the movie – which was originally called We Want Sex, named after one of the placards brandished by the protestors where the "equality" bit didn't unfurl properly – also stars Rosamund Pike, Miranda Richardson and Bob Hoskins. Fingers crossed that we could have a modern comedy with an Ealing feel on our hands.
