These are especially sad times for the Redgrave acting dynasty. Less than a month since brother Corin Redgrave passed away, acclaimed actress Lyn Redgrave has also died, aged 67.

Redgrave got her start in 1963, winning a small role in Tony Richardson’s Tom Jones alongside Albert Finney. But she truly broke out with 1966’s** Georgy Girl**, for which she won an Oscar nomination.

Her career continued on the stage and screens both small and big, working through almost 100 TV and film projects.

In 1998, she scored a second Oscar nomination, for her turn as a quirk housekeeper in Bill Condon’s Gods And Monsters. He would employ her once again in Kinsey. Her health has been a concern since 2002, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent both a mastectomy and chemotherapy.

More recently, she’s appeared in everything from Confessions Of A Shopaholic to Law & Order and Desperate Housewives. She’s survived by six grandchildren, her sister Vanessa, and four nieces and nephews.

She'll be sorely missed.
