But that’s exactly what compulsive gambler Eric Bana is facing in Lucky You. The new film from Eight Mile’s Curtis Hanson is set in the ritzy world of Las Vegas gambling, we meet Huck Cheever (Bana) a “blaster”, who plays all in, all the time. He’s trying to win the 2003 World Series of Poker while also looking to score with Drew Barrymore’s singer, Billie (no, not Piper).
There’s just one small thing standing in his way: pops, with Robert Duvall as the deadbeat dad who abandoned his mother and just might be too much of a poker talent for Huck to handle…
