Liv Tyler has signed on to star in the independent romantic comedy, The Romantics.
The Lord of the Rings/Incredible Hulk star will play a maid of honour who, along with six close friends, gathers for a wedding… only to find a long-simmering rivalry with the bride for the groom’s affections coming to the surface.
A romantic comedy that verges on the potential destruction of a happy union? Sounds like it could be** My Best Friend’s Wedding** all over again. And, strange as it may seem, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
The wonderfully-named Galt Niederhoffer will write and direct the movie, adapting her own novel. Filming begins in the summer on the movie, which will be produced by Plum Pictures and Team Todd.
