A film can't just rely on the sweet sound of revving engines to power its drama. However many horsepower there might be under the bonnet, you still need a film score - and happily for Ron Howard's Rush, they had Hans Zimmer on hand to provide one. For your listening delectation, we have the score here for you to listen to.

The film sees Chris Hemsworth play driver James Hunt and Daniel Brühl play his rival Niki Lauda, the pair locked in contention for the 1976 World Championship in Formula 1 racing. Olivia Wilde plays Hunt's wife, Suzy Miller, and there's support from Natalie Dormer, Christian McKay and Alexandra Maria Lara.

Rush hits cinemas next Friday, September 13, and you can hear Brühl and Hemsworth talk all about it in this week's podcast later today. Look out for more on the film next week.

The Rush soundtrack will be released on September 9, and you can buy it online here or in physical form here.
