Some cities are known for their beautiful architecture; others for their vibrant cultural scene. Basin City, on the other hand, has a reputation for being a pit of despair, crime, death and lust. Still, it’s probably better than Nag End On Sea. So there's good news for fans of that sort of thing, as the new trailer for Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s neo noir graphic novel-sourced sequel Sin City: A Dame To Kill For has arrived below.
brightcove.createExperiences();Joseph Gordon-Levitt is among the newcomers to the City this time, starring in The Long Bad Night as Johnny, a gambler who loses more than he expects when he wins against the wrong opponent. Once again we have Mickey Rourke as Marv, whose stories (Just Another Saturday Night and the titular A Dame To Kill For) are set before the first film’s The Hard Goodbye. The title story will see him pitted against femme fatale Ava Lord (Eva Green) and teamed up with private eye Dwight McCarthy (Clive Owen and Josh Brolin, who play the troubled antihero before and after some facial tinkering.)
This latest tease for the film features more of the story, including how the various characters intermingle, who the truly dangerous folk are (including Stacy Keach as Wallenquist and Powers Boothe as Senator Roark). A blend of old faces and new also appear, including Jessica Alba, Alexa Vega, Juno Temple, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Ray Liotta, Christopher Meloni, Jamie Chung and Dennis Haysbert. {Sin City: A Dame To Kill For character posters}
