For fans of the books and the films, the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is now, tantalizingly, just a couple of weeks away. To sustain us, the film’s official Facebook page has put up the first full, if brief, clip from the film.

The movie itself finds Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), having survived the Hunger Games of the first film, packed off with Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) on a “Victor’s Tour” of the various districts. With revolution and rebellion in the air and Katniss threatening to become a rallying point, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) decides something must be done. So Katniss and Peeta are sent back into the arena to face off against various previous victors from different districts. Can they survive another battle?
This clip sees Katniss and Peeta in disarray after a Victor’s Tour stop goes violently wrong and Katniss has been warned by Snow about what might happen if there are further disruptions. It’s left to their former mentor, Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson), to pour some cold, truth-flavoured water over their heads.
With Francis Lawrence calling the shots, and Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Sam Claflin, Stanley Tucci, Jena Malone, Willow Shields and Philip Seymour Hoffman among the cast, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is out on November 21.
