With its emphasis firmly on Chloe Grace Moretz's Hit-Girl, the new international trailer for **Kick-Ass 2 **starts off soft and gentle and ends in a flurry of ass-kicking and nut-shots. Take a look for yourself below and try not to get too excited...
Readers of the original comic-book will already know that the sequel to Mark Millar's original hyper-violent vigilante caper that KA2 - as no-one is calling it - is very much HG's baby, giving her a lot of time to explore who she really is after Big Daddy shuffled off this mortal coil last time around.
As well as more CGM - again, not a regular acronym where **Kick-Ass **fans foregather - there's a bit more footage of Jim Carrey's Colonel Stars And Stripes, but nothing that matches the dog-meets-balls kiss off line from the last trailer we saw. Also, nothing from Scrubs' Donald Faison as Doctor Gravity so far - hopefully he'll get his own trailer soon.
**Kick-Ass 2 **picks up the story from the original as Kick-Ass Dave (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Hit Girl Mindy’s (Chloë Grace Moretz) campaign has inspired a wave of self-made crusading copycats.
Dave in particular wants to focus the new vigilantes’ energy, creating a superhero team called Justice Forever alongside the crazy Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey). But when Mindy is busted as Hit Girl and forced to retire so she can go back to school, Dave must face the terrifying vengeance of Red Mist, who has restyled himself as The Mother F****r and formed his own league – of villains.
Kick-Ass 2 hits on July 19 before arriving in the US on August 16.
