Kane & Lynch Poster Hits Cannes

Continuing our Cannes poster odyssey, we couldn’t help but have our eyes caught by the bright yellow-and-black splash display for videogame adaptation, Kane & Lynch, that dominates the front of the Majestic Hotel.

‘Bruce Willis Kane’ it yells, the colour scheme almost certainly designed to conjure memories of Sin City. ‘Jamie Foxx Lynch’, it adds. And then, in smaller type, ‘Kane & Lynch. Coming 2011’. We’ve no idea who the woman is. The poster would doubtless scream, ‘Random Woman Passer-By’.

No huge surprise here – Foxx has been on board the movie, which follows two Death Row inmates as they attempt to take down an evil cartel, since March; Willis has been attached for a couple of years. But it’s still interesting to see this bright and memorable teaser poster which makes a virtue of declaring the names of its leading men – two bona fide superstars – without actually showing their faces…

Kane & Lynch will be directed by British ex-stuntman, Simon Crane (he worked on Titanic, among other films), who’ll make his debut on the movie. Production is scheduled to start on the movie in August.
