It will be in front of Harry Potter in cinemas tomorrow, but you can see the first teaser trailer for Andrew Stanton's John Carter right here, right now, and get a taste of the big-screen Barsoom and what it has in store.
For the 99% of you who aren't familiar with the story, John Carter (X-Men Origins: Wolverine's Taylor Kitsch) is a US Civil War veteran mysteriously transported to Mars - or Barsoom, as it's known to the locals. There he finds himself involved with the many different races on the dying surface of the planet including the tall, tusked green Tharks and the human-like red Martians. Of particular note are the Thark warrior Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the Red princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins).
It's all very swashbuckling and adventuresome, with Pixar stalwart Andrew Stanton determined to emphasise the universal aspects of the tale rather than making this a heavy sci-fi outing.
