The future trailers for Winged Creatures are going to feature voiceover man growling "starring Academy Award winner..." more times than Michael Bay says "more helicopters", since both Jennifer Hudson and Forrest Whittaker have joined the pic.
The drama, directed by Rowan Woods and currently filming in LA, is a multi-stranded story following a group of witnesses to a murder suicide in a fast food restaurant as they struggle to cope with its effects. Hudson will play Whittaker's daughter in what will be her first role without breaking into song at moments of high emotion. Well, we assume she won't. We haven't seen the script or anything, but blaring out a power ballad would seem kind of inappropriate if your dad's just seen someone killed.
Voiceover man will not be using the words Academy Award winner before the names of already cast Kate Beckinsale, Dakota Fanning, Guy Pearce, Jackie Earle Haley, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Embeth Davidtz. But their time may come, cos they're all pretty great.
