If you’ve ever had a dodgy boss, you might sympathise with Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis in the new comedy Horrible Bosses, which finds them as three unhappy employees looking to take action. The trailer is now live over.
The leads play Nick, Kurt and Dale, who are all slaving away for superiors with very different personalities. There’s the sexy dentist (Jennifer Aniston) who takes inappropriate photos of her male employees. There’s the comb-over creep (Colin Farrell) who doesn’t like most of his workforce and wants them fired. And there’s the flat-out bastard (Kevin Spacey back in Swimming with Sharks territory) who tricks his workers into undermining their own careers.
Understandably, the three disgruntled employees are looking for a little relief, and, spurred on by drink and advice from a dodgy, hustling criminal type (Jamie Foxx), they decided to go the Strangers on a Train route and off their bosses by swapping the murders to ensure an alibi. Naturally, since this is a comedy and not a Hitchcock film, things don’t go at all to plan.
brightcove.createExperiences();Directed by King of Kong's Seth Gordon, Bosses looks like it has some chuckles to be found, and the three awful employers all seem well matched to their roles. Oh, and the poster’s also out – so take a look below.
Horrible Bosses is out on 22 July.
