Like many YA adaptations, the Hunger Games films thus far pride themselves on boasting soundtracks with a decent crop of artists providing catchy tunes. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is no exception, with Lorde offering up Yellow Flicker Beat online for your listening use.
The track’s certainly catchy and seems to capture Katniss’ (Jennifer Lawrence) spirit, though there’s no indication how it factors into the film (most likely during the end credits). The first part of Mockingjay, adapted by Danny Strong from Suzanne Collins’ third novel, finds Katniss and the other rebels finally taking their fight to the Capitol and its PR-happy leader, President Snow (Donald Sutherland). But the fight against the all-powerful rulers will not be an easy one, and everyone involved will have to sacrifice if the Districts are to be finally free.
With Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Julianne Moore, Josh Hutcherson, Natalie Dormer, Liam Hemsworth, Elder Henson, Wes Chatham, Mahershala Ali, Evan Ross and Philip Seymour Hoffman all part of the cast and Francis Lawrence calling the shots, **The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 **will be out on November 21, with the second part following on November 20, 2015.
