"If you put people in cages, don't be surprised if they become animals," Sir Michael Caine told us in issue 244's Harry Brown feature. You can get a look at exactly what he means, now that the official trailer for Daniel Barber's urban Western is finally online.
It's no coincidence that the star of The Ipcress File is playing another character called Harry, of course, with Brown functioning as an accumulation of all Caine's iconic roles. As a revenge thriller it has obvious parallels to Get Carter, and its status as probably Caine's final leading role also makes it a very British counterpart to Gran Torino.
Emily Mortimer co-stars as a detective, and there are meaty roles for a terrifying-looking Sean Harris, and David Bradley as Leonard, whose murder is the catalyst for Brown to break out his ex-marine skills.
Harry Brown is released in the UK on November 13th, and you can read our review in issue 246.
