Gone Girl Teaser Posters Land

While the 4th of July weekend tends to be traditionally fairly quiet in US movie news terms – people assume their audience is either out partying with family, getting drunk, watching fireworks or all of the above – that hasn't stopped the team behind David Fincher’s latest, thriller adaptation Gone Girl, from releasing some new, intriguing teaser images.

Sprinkled across The Huffington Post, Awards Daily, Indiewire and Hitfix, the images eschew traditional elements of teaser posters and offer tantalising glimpses into the investigation that lies at the core of the story. When the seemingly happy Amy Dunne (Rosamund Pike) goes missing, the finger of suspicion collars her husband Nick (Ben Affleck). But as he attempts to prove his innocence under pressure from the police and the growing media frenzy, Nick’s outward portrait of a blissful marriage begins to crumble. What’s the real truth behind their relationship?

If you’ve been itching to see another trailer for the film, your wish is about to come true, as we’re promised a new one on Monday. Gone Girl itself, which also features Scott McNairy, Neil Patrick Harris, Missi Pyle, Tyler Perry, Carrie Coon, Casey Wilson and Boyd Holbrook, reaches the UK on October 3.
