A day that includes Colin Firth is generally a good day, so it was a joy to see the World's Classiest Human Being back in town for the premiere of Gambit, the new crime-comedy written by the Coen Brothers and directed by Michael Hoffman.

The cast were all in town for the event, including Firth himself, Cameron Diaz, Alan Rickman and Tom Courtenay.

The film sees Firth play an art expert employed by boorish billionaire Lionel Shahbandar (Rickman). Finally pushed to the limit, he conceives a plan to sell his boss a fake Monet and pocket the proceeds, with the help of the Major (Courtenay), an accomplished forger. But he needs the help of Diaz's cowgirl PJ to do it, and things don't go as smoothly as hoped.

Also starring Stanley Tucci, Gambit is out on November 21.
