Five Conan Character Posters Online

We've seen the Cimmerian himself standing atop a hill of skulls and hacking and slaying an army, but now Lionsgate have released a set of new Conan the Barbarian posters across various sites, giving us a close look at the other principal cast members. There are five posters in total. We didn't think it too many.

MTV have got Jason Momoa as Conan, dealing either with the fact that the kraken has woken, or that someone has released it. Possibly both.

The New York Post give us Rose McGowan as the witch Marique, sporting some interesting facial ink and an armour bodice that might have belonged to her Red Sonja, had that ever happened. We're not sure those claws are appropriate for fondling big weapons.

Jo-Blo got Rachel Nichols as Tamara, who at first glance looks to be the sort of wench we're used to seeing draped at Conan's feet in Frazetta paintings, but on closer inspection is actually clutching a sword. Maybe it's to kill that thing crawling up her cleavage.

First Showing present Stephen Lang as evil warlord Khalar Zym, who from the crazed look in his eyes seems to be thoroughly enjoying wielding his blood-soaked double-bladed scimitar.

And finally, Coming Soon have got the first look anywhere at Conan's dad Corin, played by Ron Perlman. teaching some hapless soldiers the riddle of steel.

The official website has also had a funky makeover, with a new motion poster and an interactive map for your perusal. We're promised great things at Comic Con's Hall H next month, and Conan the Barbarian 3D, directed by Marcus Nispel, is out in cinemas on August 19.
