UPDATE: Following yesterday's stills (see below), here now is Run All Night's first trailer, in which Liam Neeson and Ed Harris set out the story's violent stakes before the running and the headbutting and the punching and the shooting and the Danny Boy-singing kick off. Director Jaume Collet-Serra's latest dose of Neeson mayhem gets properly underway on May 1.
Captain Beefheart had to run all day to find a clear spot, but for Liam Neeson it's recently been necessary to Run All Night. With **Taken 3 (or Tak3n if you must) **out in cinemas, Warner Bros. has seized the opportunity to release the first particular set of stills from Neeson's next actioner. His third film with director Jaume Collet-Serra (following Unknown and Non-Stop), this one co-stars Ed Harris, Joel Kinnaman, Vincent D'Onofrio, Nick Nolte and Common. You'll find some of those names in the images that follow.
The set-up for this one is that Neeson is a legendary hitman known as 'the Gravedigger' but on the way to becoming washed up and starting to be haunted by his prolific history of violence. He's suddenly energised when his son (Kinnaman) becomes a target, however, and decides to go up against his own entire crime syndicate to save him. Harris plays mob-boss Shawn Maguire (we're going to guess he's Irish from that): the end of the road Neeson must run over the course of his long evening.
Screenwriter Brad Ingelsby also penned Scott Cooper's Out Of The Furnace, and is currently attached to the English-language Raid remake, amongst other projects. Run All Night is out in the UK on May 1.
