The last time the Rudge Park posse travelled abroad, we got their misadventures in Malia. But for The Inbetweeners 2, Jay, Neil, Simon and Will have headed to Australia to cause havoc in the Outback and beyond. Now the first look is just a quick, one-gag affair, but the teaser is online.

Co-creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley have nabbed the director’s chair for this one, taking over from Ben Palmer. All involved are hoping that the sequel – which they initially claimed probably wouldn’t happen – will replicate the original’s massive £58 million haul.

What will the boys be up to this time? That’s being kept in the briefcase for now, but we’d expect madness.

“We can't say too much as we don't want to spoil the jokes for you", the screenwriters said in a statement when the film was originally announced, "but what we can exclusively reveal is there will be kangaroos. And Australians. And possibly koalas. Oh and obviously Jay, Will, Neil and Simon, providing they’re let into the country. Thanks so much for all your support, we’re hoping to deliver a film that you’ll enjoy even more than the last one."

James Buckley, Blake Harrison, Joe Thomas and Simon Bird are back in front of the camera, joined by recent** Star Wars **addition Daisy Ridley, Celeste Cotton, David Schaal, Larissa Jones and Susan Wokoma. The Inbetweeners 2 is set to bother our cinemas on August 6.
