You wait ages for a new Terrence Malick, and then two come along practically at once. With Tree Of Life inching slowly closer to release, like an arthritic sloth with particularly heavy shopping, the first image for his as-yet untitled follow-up has been released to the interwebs - and here it is.

The film stars Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams, obviously, and reportedly also features Rachel Weisz, Javier Bardem and Olga Kurylenko. It was shot in Oklahoma, where it's apparently also set (although with Malick, we can't be 100% sure), and while the plot is under more wraps than a clingfilm factory, it's said to be a romance and is rumoured to have something to do with Frank Lloyd Wright and his Price Tower, in Bartlesville, OK.

Then again, it could turn out to include dinosaurs and space battles, and chances are we'd be none the wiser. Shooting on this one has now finished, it seems, just in time for the US release of Tree of Life on May 27. There's still no word on a UK release date for that, alas.

So whadya think of this one? This picture certainly suggests that we are indeed talking love story: he's looking broody, she's looking windswept, it's like Twilight for the arthouse crowd! But if the course of true love never did run smooth, you can bet that's particularly true for Malick movies: consider, if you dare, the fate for Private Bell's (Ben Chaplin) romantic dreams in The Thin Red Line, or Colin Farrell's hopes in The New World, or, well, Badlands.

And in the absence of any plot or title information, why not make up your own below? Best suggestion wins our undying respect.
