Legendary Pictures – which is handling the likes of Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim and Alex Proyas’ take on Paradise Lost – arrived at Comic-Con with very little in the way of footage to show, but brimming with artwork from its various titles. And now the company has shoved the first pic from the latter film on to the ‘net.
Adapted from John Milton’s epic poem, the movie will see Bradley Cooper stepping into a motion capture suit to play Lucifer, one of God’s chief archangels. But there’s trouble brewing in Heaven between Lucifer, Michael and their creator, as the Big Boss has just crafted his greatest creation: mankind. Unable to remain subservient to God if it requires him to bow down to the fleshy newcomers, Lucifer turns against his kind and is cast out… With revenge on his mind.
Described as an “action-heavy” treatment of Milton’s work, the script has been through the hands of Stuart Hazeldine, Lawrence Kasdan, Ryan Condal, Byron Willinger, Philip de Blasi and more.
Take a look a Lucifer, or at least a chunk of him, below.
So far, Cooper is the only actor attached and Legendary didn’t announce any other casting at its panel. Still, we expect to hear more shortly, along with learning when Paradise Lost will be out.
