First Look At Tina Fey And Amy Poehler's Sisters

On Sunday night, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey teamed up once more to host the Golden Globe Awards for what they’re assuring us all is their final time. If you’re disappointed at the thought of no more Poehler and Fey fun, take heart: they have a film called Sisters coming out early next year, and Universal has put out a very quick tease of the new comedy.

Sisters – formerly known as The Nest – boasts a script by Saturday Night Live veteran Paula Pell. The story finds Fey and Poehler as two thirtysomething sisters shocked to discover that their parents (including dad James Brolin) have put the family house up for sale and are downsizing to a condo to enjoy their retirement. The new living arrangements mean that the sisters will have to figure out somewhere else to live, since the “nest” is no longer available, but they decide to go out with one last big party.

Bad Neighbors’ Ike Barinholtz is aboard as a neighbour who may provide some romantic interest for Fey, while Pitch Perfect’s Jason Moore is calling the shots.

Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon and John Leguizamo are also part of the cast for the film, which will arrive on December 18 in the States and heads to these shores on January 1 next year.
