The Disney Animation Planes, spun off from Pixar's Cars, proved something of a box-office hit for the studio last year, so here is a first clip from the remarkably quick sequel, Planes 2: Fire & Rescue. Check out those Yosemite-inspired landscapes as the central characters spin into action to fight a forest fire.
This time, Dane Cook's Dusty finds himself flying with a crack firefighting unit led by helicopter Blade Ranger (Ed Harris), with air tanker Dipper (Modern Family's Julie Bowen) and a team of smaller all-terrain vehicles called The Smokejumpers. They're trying to protect Piston Peak National Park from wildfires, so expect heroics in testing circumstances.{Planes 2: Fire & Rescue Poster}
Planes 2: Fire & Rescue hits screens on August 8, and also features the voices of Jerry Stiller, Stacy Keach, Regina King, Wes Studi and John Michael Higgins. It's all directed by long-term Disney writer, producer and director Roberts Gannaway.{Planes 2 posters}
