Final Man Of Steel Trailer Lands

It’s been a long road of teasers, trailers, photos, posters and other promotional bumf for Man Of Steel, but with the film just about a week away from our cinemas, here comes the big final trailer.

Begun as the campaign itself started with Russell Crowe’s Jor-El narrating what his son Kal-El (Henry Cavill) should aspire to, this last big look at the movie looks to be a rough summary of what to expect. Indeed, an argument could be made that it shows off a little too much.

Blending a new take from David Goyer and Chris Nolan on the expected beats of the Superman story – Kal-El is dispatched to Earth as a baby from the doomed Krypton, is adopted by Jonathan (Kevin Costner) and Martha (Diane Lane) Kent, tries to make his way in the world while figuring out what he should do with his enormous powers and coming into troubling contact with humanity once his real nature is revealed.

Then, of course, we have the arrival of General Zod (Michael “I WILL FIND HIM!” Shannon), who demands Kal-El’s loyalty or he’ll punish us puny Earth-folk and Supes’ connection with crusading journalist Lois Lane (Amy Adams).

With Zack Snyder directing, **Man Of Steel **also features Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Jadin Gould, Rebecca Butler and Christopher Meloni. Those wanting to see this truly fresh will want to skip this latest footage. And let’s face it – you only have until June 14 to wait now.
