30 Rock's Tina Fey and Parks And Recreation's Amy Poehler will host 2013's Golden Globes in January, replacing Ricky Gervais, who has been slinging his particular brand of satirical barbs at The Hollywood Foreign Press Association's guests since 2010.
This news comes a couple of weeks after it was announced that Family Guy and Ted's Seth MacFarlane would be the host of the 85th Oscars ceremony next year, meaning that there will be fresh faces all round for the two biggest events in the awards season.
As Saturday Night Live fans no doubt already know, Poehler and Fey have worked together many times before, notably on the regular satirical sketch, Weekend Update, as well as in Fey's 2008 parenting comedy Baby Mama.
If you're worrying that Fey and Poehler will follow in the footsteps of Gervais' last Golden Globes outing and pull their punches, remember the time they presented an award at the 2008 Emmys and, um, made chicken noises (see below).
The 70th Golden Globes will take place on January 13, 2013.
