Good news for Harry Potter fans: Daniel Radcliffe has signed on the dotted line to star in the new season of BBC1’s Extras.Daniel will be starring alongside ex-Avenger and all-round screen goddess, Diana Rigg, in the episode which is due to screen later this year.
Extras is the brainchild of Ricky Gervaise, the man behind The Office, and focuses on the attempts of two extras trying to get their big break in TV and film. Each episode has a guest star playing a version of themselves and the first season starred Samuel L Jackson, Kate Winslet and Patrick Stewart, so Daniel and Diana are following in pretty shiny footsteps.
No word as yet on the plot, but Daniel’s always been able to laugh at himself in interviews, so it should make for a good episode. Bring on the magic wand Ricky…
