UPDATE: If you were wondering how they pulled of the practical elements on the stunt in the clip - yes, it wasn't all CGI - take a look at a new making-of video, which we've put at the bottom of the page.

You’ll have already glimpsed at least some of the scene on display in this new clip during one of the trailers or the Super Bowl TV spot that has already shown up to remind us all that the Fast & Furious crew are back for their seventh ride. But this is a longer look at Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto and the gang ramping up the “fast” bit of the title by skydiving cars out of a transport plane. Take a look…

The scene, which finds everyone seemingly enjoying the ride except for Tyrese Gibson’s Roman Pearce, is just the latest attempt by this franchise to push the limits of what is feasible in their universe. Forget the laws of physics, folks: they belong elsewhere.

Fast & Furious 7 finds the car crew back in Los Angeles after successfully taking down Luke Evans’ Owen Shaw in the last film and looking forward to a quieter time. But a big ol’ bald road bump appears in the shape of Shaw’s older brother, played by Jason Statham. With the Toretto family house blown to smithereens as a sinister calling card, Dom and the crew are soon headed to foreign climes to thwart this new threat.

With the late Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges, Dwayne Johnson, Kurt Russell, Lucas Black, Djimon Hounsou, Ronda Rousey and Tony Jaa on board, and James Wan steering the vehicle this time around, Fast & Furious 7 puts the pedal to the metal on April 3.
