Making its UK bow at Sundance London is a new British horror-thriller that promises to unleash the heebie-jeebies on anyone who knows what it's like to get lost in the British highways and byways with only dodgy sat-nav, half a pack of wine gums and some nefarious, life-threatening force for company. It's already attracting great word of mouth and we're particularly excited to be debuting its haunting, impressionistic trailer. (For best and highest-definition results, click the cog-like YouTube icon and select the '1080p' option.)
Faced with this predicament - the life-threatening force, not the depleted wine gums - are Lucy (Alice Englert) and Tom (Iain De Caestecker), a couple heading to a country getaway and a music festival. But instead of an hour or so of Mumford & Sons and some festival-priced falafel burgers, things get a little (read: a lot) scary. And as the film's new trailer, hot off the editing suite presses, reveals, this is a more complex and terrifying business than either of them bargained for.
We can't reveal much more without spoiling what's likely to be a twisting, turning ride. Even the cast didn't know how the story would end; director Jeremy Lovering drip-fed them the script to maintain the shock of the denouement.
**In Fear **gets its UK release in the autumn. If you can't wait until then and aren't able to venture down to Sundance London, feast your eyes on another clip from the film here.
