For a couple long arrived in their middle years but striving for a second youth, Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts make unconvincing hipsters in this new poster for Noah Baumbach's While We're Young. There's not a single ornately sculpted beard on display and Clem Fandango would scoff into his vintage poncho onesie at their normcore attire. Click on the image below to take a closer look.

Reuniting with Greenberg's Stiller for this one, While We’re Young finds Baumbach pondering the foibles of middle-aged folk who start to wonder if they’re missing out on life. Stiller and Watts are Josh and Cornelia Srebnick, happily married members of New York's creative class. They tried to start a family and were unable to — and have decided they’re okay with that. But as Josh labours over the umpteenth edit of his cerebral new film, it’s plain that he has hit a dry patch and that something is still missing.

And that’s when they meet Jamie (Adam Driver) and Darby (Amanda Seyfried), a spontaneous, free-spirited young couple who spin between different passions, obsessions and interests with ease, which makes Josh try to relive his youth – or rather, to enjoy it for the first time. But as they spurn friends their own age to hang with The Kids Today, they start to realise that maybe their own lives aren’t so bad.

With Adam Horovitz, Charles Grodin, Maria Dizzla and Brady Corbet also in the cast, While We’re Young is out here on April 3. We reported on the film from the Glasgow Film Festival, so check out further thoughts here.
