In the left corner, an ASBO-boasting collection of hoodies, addicts and drug dealers; in the right corner, Michael Caine, looking in no mood to take prisoners as pensioner-on-a-mission Harry Brown, in the Brit thriller's new theatrical one-sheet.

While the artwork tips its cap to Get Carter, homaging the '70s gangster classic's poster, Harry Brown is a very different sort of Caine anti-hero: a reluctant vigilante from a violent Elephant And Castle estate who takes on the hoodies at their own game when his friend Leonard (David Bradley) is brutally murdered. There will, it's safe to say, be blood.

As Empire's star rating suggests, director Daniel Barber's urban Western comes recommended in these parts: violent, relevant and fierce, it's one of the year's most confronting releases. Seek it out or face the wrath of Caine.

Harry Brown is released nationwide on November 11.
