Directed by Matteo Garrone, it's an Italian-set contemporary mob drama based on auther Roberto Saviano's tell-all account about the country's criminal families. Exposing the deadlier side of Italy's Mafia syndicates, such was the impact of Saviano's book that he was actually forced into hiding for fear of serious reprisals.
Gomorrah hits cinemas on October 10.
