It's a wholly different animal, granted, but Nicolas Winding Refn's Only God Forgives does reunite a few of the ingredients that made **Drive **such a cult hit. There's Ryan Gosling's brooding charisma, moments of brutal violence, dazzling photography and a pulsing score by Cliff Martinez.
The latter is especially relevant because we've put together a special Soundcloud sampler featuring seven tracks from the album. See, totally relevant. None-more-relevant, you might say. But now the time has come to extricate yourself from all this revelance and listen to it.

Only God Forgives stars Gosling as Julian, a Westerner living in Bangkok. His brother is killed in revenge for slaughtering a young prostitute, and Julian's hard-as-nails mother (Kristin Scott Thomas) expects her younger son to take revenge on his killers. Only one problem: the man responsible is Chang (Vithaya Pansringarm), a terrifying retribution machine working with the city's police.
