A new international poster for Robert Zemeckis' latest, Flight, has arrived online and Empire has an exclusive first look below.
Taking pride of place is the star of the show, Denzel Washington, one of few actors in Hollywood with enough gravitas to play a character who can land a plane upside down with no engine... while drunk (kind of, in a way, possibly).
Telling the tale of an airline pilot who miraculously lands said disintegrating plane, Zemeckis' return to live-action cinema takes an even more dramatic turn as it's revealed that his hero, Captain William Whitaker, has some secrets that he doesn't want revealed. Secrets like his drinking problem and the fact his bloodstream contained high levels of alcohol at the time of the accident.
Below Washington's Whitaker is a picture of the airliner, as well as The Queen's Nose's Sherlock Holmes' Kelly Reilly, as the film's female lead, Don Cheadle as Captain William Whitaker's lawyer and John Goodman doing an incredible impression of what Walter Sobchak would look like if he suddenly turned into the Dude.
For more proof of Goodman's Dude-ification (and much more, of course), be sure to watch the trailer for** Flight **below.
With a script by Real Steel's John Gatins and Melissa Leo and Bruce Greenwood also on board, Flight looks like it could see Zemeckis shaking off the disappointment of Mars Needs Moms. It’ll land in UK cinemas on January 25, 2013.
