Jacques Audiard's French-language drama Rust And Bone played to rapt audiences in Cannes earlier this summer, and not just because they've been craving a good killer whale movie down there ever since Free Willy 4: Escape From Pirate's Cove.
There's already Oscar buzz building around Marion Cotillard's performance as a whale trainer, Stephanie, who's maimed in a terrible accident and left bereft of the things she cares for most. Unsurprisingly, she's front and centre in the film's beautifully understated new poster.
Alongside her is co-star Matthias Schoenaerts, a new face for audiences outside Belgium but another standout in a film that should wow London Film Festival goers next month. You don't have to be a prophet* to pin this to your Academy Awards hopefuls list.
If you can't catch it at the LFF, Rust And Bone is out in the UK on November 2.
